SIX SIX PICK UP STIX

Merry Thursday little Junipers!

Yesterday I found a thrift store selling records for 50 cents!
I couldn't believe my luck!  Then I remembered that I still haven't found a record player for said records...  details, details... good thing I was able to borrow my parents' record player so that I could enjoy my new purchases!

Some other gems I found :  Simon and Garfunkle Sound of Silence, Chipmunks Christmas, ABBA greatest hits, and Rogers and Hemmerstein's Cinderella performed by Julie Andrews....  LOVE IT

Dear Ann Louise Irving, you have GREAT taste!

When I was little I used to beg my mum to let me stay up a little bit later than normal so I could watch the Muppets.  This record did not disappoint!
Is there anything from your childhood that you would like to revisit?  I could definitely go for watching some Captain Planet.

REMEMBER:

The seven day challenge is almost up!  I can hardly believe it.  This has been so much fun I think I will have to keep it up hey?  I need some more 'things'  and maybe some more give aways?

  1. Sometimes i think it would be a great idea to revisit something from childhood... Then I do... And I end up wrestling with the question... WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?

Say... Rainbow Bright for example! I remember that being quality television!!!

  2. I watched Sleeping Beauty for the first time when I was 22. Totally should have waited until I had kiddies of my own to watch it because at least then I wouldn't be able to admit how horrible it was!

Grace, you would have loved helping mum and I with her last minute packing. One of the last things to find a home was her collection of vinyl! We spent an hour going through it and mocking her taste lol. I found everything from the Beatles, Abba, Danny Kaye, Bill Cosby, Cindy Lauper, Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac, and the list goes on.. She also had a bunch for us kids that had like nursery rhymes and a few of the Disney stories read on vinyl.

loving my vinyl collection too! mmmmhmmm.

if i could go back to childhoood it would just be to be carefree when nobody was sick and everyone was alive still and we were hanging out in the lake at the cabin. *sigh*
    that sounds depressing, hey?
