The Help

Hello my Little Junipers!

Today I want to share with you about the most incredible movie I've seen in a while!  "The Help."

I swear that when I was sitting watching the movie this quote spoke directly to me!
I want to tell this to all my future children.
I feel like I went to watch the movie at the most perfect time.  The characters were so convincing and the story line was surprisingly powerful.  I couldn't imagine living in that time.  I feel like I would really relate to Emma Stone's character.  In the movie she is the one that decides to write a book to tell the story of 'the help'. (Just for those of you that don't know what it is all about.)

It would be so hard to stand by and see these incredible woman that did so much for families other than their own being treated with such little respect or regard.
I'm so glad that Joel took me to see this movie!  There were only four other people in the theater with us and it was kind of magical.  It felt like we were all alone.  I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie completely engaged.  I definitely shed a few tears and laughed at some of the crazy things the ladies got up to.

Not that I'm writing a formal review or being paid to plug this movie... I just think that people should go see this movie.  It was kind of inspirational to me.  It spoke to the power of woman who don't give up.  Even when life is tough and seems unfair.  That seems incredibly applicable to me right now so I'm just going to remember that "You is kind.  You is smart.  You is important."

The book is definitely going to the top of my Christmas wish list!

I will be back tomorrow with an update on my lists for September.

Thanks for stopping by!
