JuniperGraceTube 16 : It's a Long Road to Green Gables

Welcome back my darling Junipers!!

We had a bit of a technological glitch this week so instead of the normal intro and outro tiles ... you get to see what I do RIGHT BEFORE I start podcasting... and usually block out... hahaha :)

Good thing we are wonderful friends hey?

This week's episode is a little longer but truly it's because we get to meet our Anne girl. And I hope that you love her just as much as I do.  I have some fun inspiration to share with you, some beautiful yarn, and the usual amount of EXTREME CHITTER CHATTER.

Grab that knitting and a delicious beverage and let us dive right on in:

7) Camping Trip to Salt Spring Island!   We stayed at Ruckle Provincial Park. Pretty much on the ocean!  I found sheep and fleece for sale at the Heritage Farm, TONS of fresh produce, and visited my favorite yarn shop in Ganges ELDERBERRY YARNS.   I came home with some Elderberry yarn and Ancient Arts yarn in the Arctic Midnight colourway.

KNIT ALL THE THINGS:

8) My sweet Cowichan Sweater that I have spun the wool for .... is now... IN PROGRESS!  Using The I'm The Dude Jacket pattern from Yarnspirations.com I have decided to knit Bison on mine instead of Thunderbirds and I LOVE IT.

9) I have settled on the Pebble Beach Shawlette pattern by Helen Stewart for my beautiful blue EGGY JOHNSON FIBERWORKS yarn.

10) TWINSET DESIGNS PODCAST is having an AWESOME Knit Along (KAL).  The Clean Off Your Needles Knit Along.   I've joined in with my big basket of WIPS and the top four projects in rapid fire are:
          1) The Hogwart's Express Shawl by Susan Ashcroft.
          2) The Deneb Shawl by Heidi Braacx in Vegan Yarns.
          3) Emery by Shannon Cook
          4) Follow Your Arrow by Ysolde Teague

11) My fourth Stripe Study Shawl is coming along swimmingly.  Knit this time in Knitpicks Palette yarn.

12)  My August Socks!  Dancing Dog Dyeworks Twist Sock in the Mushroom Madness colourway.  I'm doing a sock weight version of the RYE pattern by Tin Can Knits

15) Westknits on Instagram.   GENIUS!   he posted a picture of the most amazing work in progress!  A Vertices Unite Shawl knit out of the neon Unicorn Tails by  Modular Modular. 1. Thank you so much for the fun crochet classes at Camp Aloha Friends! I've done a lot of crafting, but I've never made a granny square before and now I am totally hooked. Mahalo!
